Transit on the set of Wazzup Wazzup

Last night, Transit was on the set of Studio 23’s Wazzup Wazzup.

It was a tiring day for us -> we came from Crown Plaza hotel where the CCAP (Call Center Association of the Philippines) Exhibit was held -> where Transit had a booth and where we had a blast meeting all these industry people... It was interesting enough, there was an array of informative seminars and the concept of the event was a road map to 2010 for the Call Center industry, which is quite cool when you think about it (shots of this event will be posted on our multiply site asap).

But after the 2 day event – it was straight to the set of Wazzup Wazzup for Transit, to unwind and get a few laughts here and there...
Toni Gonzaga was absent, something about an accident while shooting? But we guess that's okay as guests hosts Nikki Gil and Victor Basa were there to fill in.

The set isn’t as big as we thought it would be, the camera can trick you all right – and as it turns out it’s the other half of the set of the now defunct Breakfast! (which incidentally, Transit was also featured for 5 weeks, video clips of which are on transitnews.multiply.com)
Transit’s segment was on this week’s News Without Borders article on “the website celebrities fear” which is TMZ.com – a site that gained it's quick popularity by posting paparazzi shots and other unofficial videos of celebs.
Watch out for the clip of this episode, we’ll be posting it on our multiply site soon.
And watch out for Wazzup's episode next Wednesday for another segment w/ Transit.

Transit at the CEO Forum

The forum was on International Trade, and the title: Tools for transformation into a Global Giant. Tough topic? Maybe – but quite informative nonetheless.

So, did you know that the unemployment rate in our country decreased – slightly – but not enough – and that there are still 1.2M employable people who are otherwise unemployed. And, if we include all the frustrated unemployed people out there (i.e. people who got so tried of looking for a job they stopped trying) it gives us a total of 4M unemployed citizens.

But prospects aren’t so bleak as we might think – forecasts for Asia 2020 tells us that the Philippines is in a relatively good position to answer the world’s demand of sorts… we may be able to get the surplus of demands here and there, they say…

And interestingly, the Philippine’s seemingly inopportune population growth – will probably turn out to be the lucky solution for our future – as every other country’s population continue to age.

Quite serious? Yet obviously relevant occurrences in our reality. Transit will get into all these further in a few weeks with a feature or two on Transit’s The Professional page. So, be informed and tune in ; )

The forum was organized by JobsDb.com w/ Trade Advisory Services, and w/Transit as a media partner. Held at the New World Renaissance Hotel last July 6, 2007 w/ speakers Dr. Cielito Habito, Atty. Anthony Abad, Mr. Raphael Madarang and Mr. Ed Rodriguez
